How to Receive Koi Safely After Shipping

1. Bring the fish indoors immediately.

Do not leave the box outside in the sun, cold, or wind.

2. Check the fish upon arrival.

Some light stress after shipping is normal.

3. Float the unopened bag for 15–20 minutes.

This helps equalize the water temperature.

4. Do not pour bag water into your pond.

The shipping bag water may contain ammonia and waste buildup.

5. Transfer the fish into a clean tub first.

Then gently move the fish into your pond or quarantine tank.

6. Do not feed immediately.

Let the fish rest and settle first.

7. Observe the fish during the first 24 hours.

Keep the water clean, well-oxygenated, and calm.
